My name is Adelaida Veen. I was born in the solar summer morning in Ardise. When i was 12 years old I has got acquainted with my cousin Ivan Veen. Since that time we always together. Even now Van stands up for my back and thumbs through the brochure of 1830, examining devilish humming-birds, Colothorax lucifer. All the year round Ivan studies botany and art, he speaks, that both these sciences are equally divine.
On family picnic in Ladoga we recently have retired into a grove and examined the insect which tried to turn into a flower. It has reminded me the story about Salvador Dali. When he painted still-life with fishes, he was tortured by flies. The flies sat on his nose, lips and eyes. When flies surrounded all his body, Dali has understood that resist by insects there is no sense more. And what had he done? He turned into the fly. The insect which we have seen in Ladoga with Van, has turned into orchid Ophrys too. For us it was the new opening.
Together with Ivan we look through pages of history, the literature, art, botany as a travellers. We do the small openings without which we don’t represent a life. But now we have to go. Uncle Demon invite us to evening walk in the garden. But we will have returned to you soon .


P.S Unfortunately, our knowledge are limited to only three languages: ancient greek, latin and language of love. In ancient greek language Van speaks as Ovidius Naso, on latin as Caesar Avgust. We only start to comprehend Shakespeare's language. Therefore the nonagreement of times and grammatic mistakes are inevitable at the initial stage of our knowledge. Please, be indulgent to two curious children from Ardise.
